Alternative Radio (www.alternativeradio.org) airs on KKFI Kansas City Community Radio on Wednesday mornings. Featuring interviews and speeches by the likes of Noam Chomsky, Arundhati Roy, Howard Zinn, and Vandana Shiva, among many others.
I was in the Denver area recently, on a family visit, and arranged to meet with David Barsamian, director and founder of Alternative Radio. I drove to his home in Boulder and started out by asking him to speak about recent events in Iran. He also spoke about Afghanistan, Pakistan, and little bit about how Alternative Radio got started.
Before I left, Barsamian gave me a couple of copies of the current issue of Yes magazine, which features part of an interview he did with Vandana Shiva in India late last year, "Vandana Shiva on Gandhi for Today's World.
